The starting point

A place for everyday reading.

A community website has a lot to offer. On a phone, getting back to a topic, keeping up with a conversation and finding familiar spaces should feel natural.

Litho began as a personal tool for using Discourse communities on iOS, with particular attention to the reading experience and continuity between visits.

The approach

Native where it matters.

The app brings together native navigation and community content, with layouts shaped for both iPhone and iPad.

  • Topic feeds and detail views for following discussions.
  • Community features including search, bookmarks, chat and notifications.
  • Appearance options inspired by traditional colours and materials.
  • An iPad layout that gives the topic list and conversation their own space.
The result

An evolving independent product.

Litho is an ongoing, self-initiated product. It gives the studio a practical place to explore native interfaces, visual identity and the details of everyday interaction.

Visit the product website for its current availability and feature details. Litho is an independent third-party client and is not affiliated with Discourse or the communities it connects to.
